Study Design: Randomized controlled trial
- Participants: 124 patients with colorectal cancer who underwent curative surgery
- Intervention:
- All patients received Mitomycin post-surgery
- Group A (71 patients): FT-207 suppositories for one year
- Group B (53 patients): PSK orally for one year
- Primary Outcomes: 5-year survival rates
Summary: The study suggested that PSK might be effective in prolonging survival in colorectal cancer patients after curative surgery, with Group B (PSK) showing consistently higher survival rates than Group A (FT-207), although the difference was not statistically significant. The number of recurrences within two years also tended to be lower in the PSK group.
